West Africa food festival -WAFFEST was initiated in 2018 by Chef Isaac Sackey from Ghana through chefs Association of Ghana which brought together chefs and culinary professional from Benin, Liberia ,Nigeria, Togo, South Africa  and Azerbaijan.  

It is biggest regional food festival in the west Africa sub region that culinary professional , government and policy makers to deliberate on the prospect on future of gastronomy within the region.

 Again Ghana hosted 2019, 2022 and then Liberia in 2021

In 2022 WAFFEST attract more than 20 countries across  Africa and beyond with attendants of more than 500 participant.

WAFFEST 2023 will be host by Nigeria from 9-14^th August 2023
